For over two decades, the Maryland World Class Consortia (MWCC) has been teaching manufacturers how to apply lean business practices within their facilities. The application of lean tools and methodologies helps manufacturers reach their performance goals. The not-for-profit MWCC has programs in place which help member companies create internal change agents that will plan, execute, and sustain operational excellence using lean tools and principles. By transferring the skills and knowledge needed to affect these changes, it fosters a culture of and desire for continuous improvement. The MWCC continues their mission of strengthening and growing the state and national economies through performance excellence.

Launched in 1996, the Maryland World Class Consortia (MWCC) is a 501(c)3, non-profit, membership organization whose mission is to help companies increase their competitive strength by building cultures of continuous improvement. We are a collaborative effort, sustained through the involvement of state and local government, expert practitioners and service providers, and a diverse collection of member companies including but not limited to: manufacturing, aerospace and defense, engineering, financial service firms, health care providers, commercial and food products. Our purpose is to provide training, leadership development, implementation support and transformation services to Maryland companies with the core objective of promoting, developing and sustaining world class practices for Maryland businesses.
