“The Mid-Atlantic Region Minority Business Development Agency Advanced Manufacturing Center – Baltimore is one of only four grant recipients in the country to receive U.S. Department of Commerce Business Development Agency funding to operate an advanced manufacturing project. The national project targets assistance to minority manufacturers to increase the number of “Made in America” products that can be sold domestically and globally. The project is designed to help identify, screen, promote, and refer minority business enterprises (MBEs) to specialized advanced manufacturing program in addition to core business development services. The center serves Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York and is a major Mid-Atlantic Region initiative for the City of Baltimore” – conference room conversation.
