TWI Training Within Industry Logo

TWI’s rich history originated in the United States in the 1940s and the training method was a resounding success. The program was born out of the need to rapidly train unskilled workers entering the production workforce as many skilled laborers went off to war. This session answers the question: What is TWI Job Instruction?

Many of our manufacturers struggle with onboarding and enabling new employees to become productive and error-free quickly. In this session, you will learn what TWI Job Instruction (JI) is all about and how it can help you gain the benefits of a consistent training program. You will also see a demonstration of the methodology and gain insight into why it works.

With JI you develop a stable process to apply continuous improvement and gain a method to instruct employees how to perform a job correctly, safely, and conscientiously.

TWI has the proven ability to:

    • Generate cooperation and positive employee relations
    • Teach supervisors how to quickly and correctly train employees
    • Establish and maintain standardized work
    • Improve methods
    • Solve problems efficiently and effectively
    • Create a safe work environment
    • Shorten the learning curve
    • On-board new or transferred employees faster
    • Reduce or eliminate errors and mistakes

Target Audience:  Supervisors, Team Leaders, and anyone who directs the work of others.

Cost: No cost to attend.  Breakfast is included, but registration is required.
