The US Department of Commerce (USDOC)/Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Baltimore Business Center will host its second Finance Symposium on Thursday, October 4, 2018, presenting “CAPITAL ACCESS.” The 2018 MBDA Baltimore Business Center Finance Symposium will be held at Drexel University – Washington, DC Center located at Lafayette Tower, Suite 420 – 801 17th Street, NW Washington, DC 20006.
Under the aegis of MBDA, the Baltimore Business Center is one of over 40 Centers responsible for providing customized business development solutions designed to grow Minority-Owned Businesses through increased visibility and access to Capital, Contracts, and New Markets.
This invitation only event will be attended by traditional and non-traditional financial lending institutions, wealth advisors and more. Registration is mandatory. You have the option to attend either the AM or PM Session. During each session, one-on-one meetings will be scheduled with financial lending firms. Also, throughout the day, separate break-out seminars will be ongoing with finance experts sharing essential information on various topics pertinent to the financial success of your business!
The financial partners and lending institutions who will participate include: Consumer Banking and Merrill Edge, Citibank, First National Bank, Harbor Bank, Industrial Bank, Liquid Capital, Revere Bank, The Leda Group and Wells Fargo along with lending resources: District of Columba Department of Insurance, Securities & Banking (DISB) and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Each institution will have representatives on-site to review and discuss your financial needs with the ultimate goal of providing financial assistance and access to capital.
Direct benefits of this Symposium will allow business owners to: determine if new or increased loans and/or lines of credit are available; compare interest rates on existing loans or new finance investor options; learn about new offerings and get the latest updates regarding insurance/risk management and bottom line strategies. We hope you will be one of the estimated 100 Minority-Owned Businesses present to participate in what will be a financially rewarding day for those in attendance.
Seats are limited. Please be advised, ALL participants must be a member of the Baltimore Business Center to attend. There is NO COST to become a member; only two very simple documents need to be completed and MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Continental breakfast for the AM Session and lunch for the PM Session are included in the registration cost. There will also be a Networking & Un”Wine” reception to close out the event.
