The Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council was established in 1972. It is one of 23 regional affiliates of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, the only nationally certifying authority. In addition to its partnership with the Baltimore MBDA Advanced Manufacturing Center, CRMSDC operates U.S. Department of Commerce's Virginia MBDA Business Center.

The Baltimore MBDA Advanced Manufacturing Center works with MMG to provide access to capital and alternative financing solutions for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged manufacturers in Maryland.

Through this partnership, the The Baltimore MBDA Advanced Manufacturing Center connects Socially and Economically Disadvantaged (SEDI) manufacturers with funding opportunities, certifications and advocacy support.

The Baltimore MBDA Advanced Manufacturing Center operates the Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Small and Minority Business Advocacy & Development (SMBA&D), helping to provide Center clients with essential resources. SMBA&D's B2G Diversity Management System is used to monitor Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) goals that are set on contracts.

The Baltimore MBDA Advanced Manufacturing Center partners with RMI and MD MEP to advance manufacturing innovation and support workforce development. This collaboration helps to empower manufacturers to adopt cutting-edge practices and impact economic growth.
